Alpha School is implementing an AI‑powered reading program that redefines early literacy instruction. You will lead focused, high‑impact workshops rather than conventional hour‑long sessions. Assess student needs, develop original evidence‑based lessons independently, and contribute to adaptive tools that extend your expertise to hundreds of learners. This position requires reading specialists who excel without rigid curricula and seek to advance scalable literacy innovation.

- Facilitating adaptive reading workshops that build core competencies in phonics, fluency, and comprehension.
- Creating personalized motivational experiences that engage students and foster a lasting appreciation for reading.
- Evaluating student performance data to refine instructional methods and generate actionable insights.
- Partnering with the technology team to assess and improve AI‑driven literacy platforms.
- Following pre‑scripted curricula or published scope‑and‑sequence frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Master’s degree or advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton‑Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years of experience providing small‑group reading interventions to early elementary students.
- Capable of assessing reading levels, organizing student groups, and creating differentiated instruction without reliance on pre‑written curricula.
- Experienced with AI/adaptive learning platforms and able to respond to student behaviors within these systems.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
