** The Benefits Communications Specialist supports both internal and external customers by delivering clear, accurate, and effective benefits-related communications. This role develops strong communication skills and builds comprehensive knowledge of insurance and employee benefits to enhance messaging and support departmental initiatives. The specialist contributes to a positive benefits experience by creating informative materials, assisting with inquiries, and ensuring employees understand their available programs, policies, and resources.
** How You Will Contribute:
*** Perform intake/recording of team projects.
* Maintain Communication Team systems.
* Utilize Adobe Creative Suite and InDesign.
* Complete benefits guide updates.
* Support Open Enrollment communications (postcards, flyers, etc.) and RFP support.
* Provide intermediate design and updates to client benefit guides, client presentations, and client communications.
* Produce appropriate graphical assets for multi-channel experience.
* Participate in user research and testing to continually search for ways to improve user experience of our client-supplied software/apps.
* Participate in client and prospective client presentations.
* Develop communication team strategy
** Skills & Experience to be Successful:
*** Relevant undergraduate degree (or equivalent experience) and/or a minimum of 4+ years' experience.
* Experience with a responsive web design experience and an understanding of HTML/CSS opportunities and constraints.
* Experience with mobile app design experience (iOS and/or Android)
* Proficient with MS Office Suite
* Mobile app design experience (iOS and/or Android) (preferred)
* Strong visual design skills, understanding latest trends in color, layout and typography.
* Expert knowledge of visual design tools like Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Ominigraffle, Axure, etc.
* Willingness to collaborate with cross-functional teams, iterate on designs, and being open to constructive feedback.
* Good verbal and written communication skills and good grammatical skills
* Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
