Technical Writer

Rate: $50/hr on W2
Location: Plano, TX (Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months

We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer responsible for creating, maintaining, and improving technical documentation that supports products and users. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce clear, accurate, and user-friendly content.

• Write, edit, and update technical materials including:

  • User manuals

  • Installation guides

  • Release notes

  • FAQs

  • Online help documentation

• Update, maintain, and archive existing documentation to reflect:

  • Product enhancements

  • Bug fixes

  • New feature releases

• Study product samples and technical specifications.

• Interview Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand technical concepts and workflows.

• Analyze target audiences to ensure documentation uses clear, accessible language appropriate to varying technical skill levels.

• Develop or incorporate visuals such as:

  • Diagrams

  • Graphs

  • Screenshots

  • Illustrations
    to enhance user understanding.

• Review and format documentation to ensure consistency in tone, style, and structure across all materials.

• Work closely with product developers, engineers, UX designers, and customer support teams to validate content accuracy.
