We’re looking for someone who wants to get in early and help us build both the content and the culture as we continue to grow our refreshed shows and Lewisville studio. This role is about making meaningful, excellent content that serves the Church and speaks to the next generation, not just chasing trends for clicks. You’ll collaborate with a passionate team, shape workflows from the ground up, and have a real voice in how ideas move from concept to screen.

The Assistant Filmmaker plays a critical role in ensuring a seamless production process by primarily working alongside our directors to ensure productions run smoothly. The Filmmaker will be responsible for operating cameras, lighting, and other equipment to capture high-quality footage for our projects. This role focuses purely on the production phase.

• Filming:
  Set up and operate cameras, lighting, and sound equipment to capture footage according to the project’s needs.
• Technical Operation:
  Ensure the proper functioning of filming equipment and troubleshoot any technical issues during production.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work closely with the creative team to understand the vision for the project and ensure that all footage meets the project’s requirements.
• Organization:
  Maintain an efficient and organized workflow on set to capture all necessary shots and stay on schedule.
• Footage Management:
  Ensure all footage is properly stored and documented for handoff to postproduction teams.
• Studio Management:
  Work closely with the Director of Production and other filmmakers to maintain, organize and clean our studio spaces.
• Support in a production role for offsite events and conferences.
• Production for Podcasts:
  Set up and operate cameras, lighting, and sound equipment to capture footage according to the project’s needs.

• Experience in video or film production with a focus on camera operation and equipment handling.
• Understanding of camera, lighting, and sound equipment.
• Ability to follow specific project guidelines and capture footage that aligns with the project vision.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Willing to travel to Atlanta, Georgia as needed.
• Be onsite at Plano office or Lewisville studio.
• 1+ years of production experience.
• Willingness to help set and accomplish developmental milestones for yourself and around you.

• A BA or BS in a related field (e.g., Film, Media Production, Communications) or a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in producing or a related production role.
