POSITION SUMMARY
The Administrative Assistant VP provides analytic and specialized administrative support of a non-routine nature to relieve senior management of complex details and advanced administrative duties.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(This is a representative list of the general duties the position may be asked to perform, and is not intended to be all-inclusive)
- Investigate assigned problems, determine approach, compile data, and prepare reports/recommendations for action by supervisor
- Communicate with executive, administrative and line management to gather and convey information pertaining to senior management office and responsibilities
- Communicate with firms, organizations, or individuals from outside the company for coordination purposes
- Review and answer mail and inquiries on own initiative and determine within established guidelines if executive action is required
- Refer routine matters to appropriate parties for action and follow up
- Coordinate travel reservations and maintain appointment calendar
- All other duties as needed or required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years’ experience in an administrative support role
- Advanced experience with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- For new hires, must meet all Fed Ex Office employment qualifications in force at time of hiring
- For current Fed Ex Office team members, must meet hiring criteria for the position and transfer requirements as outlined in the Team Member Handbook
- Ability to travel as required in order to meet with customers, vendors, other team members, and/or other business necessities
- Ability, on a consistent basis, to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time
- Ability, on a consistent basis, to read and interpret documents and instructions from customers, vendors, and other team members
- Ability, on a consistent basis, to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members
- Ability, on a consistent basis, to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction
- Ability, on a consistent basis, to function in a fast-paced environment, under substantial pressure
- Ability, on a consistent basis, to work within the appropriate level of independence
- Ability, on a consistent basis, to report regularly to work and maintain established business hours in order to support the Fed Ex Office business; regular attendance and/or reporting could include regular attendance at a physical location and/or maintaining established business hours depending on the scope and nature of the position
Pay: The pay range is $28.25/hr - $42.37/hr
Additional Details: This position will be hybrid in Plano, TX and candidates must live within a 50 mile radius. This position is hybrid, meaning employees will be required to work at a Fed Ex Campus location several times per week.
