A rapidly expanding organization is seeking a Director to lead technical accounting, revenue recognition, reporting advisory, SOX compliance, and sales & use tax oversight. This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting across the enterprise. The Director will lead a high‑performing accounting team while partnering cross‑functionally to support growth, process improvement, and operational excellence.

- Prepare and review technical accounting memos on complex transactions

- Develop and maintain enterprise accounting policies, procedures, and SOX‑aligned controls
- Ensure compliance with internal and external reporting requirements
- Manage quarterly and annual financial reporting processes
- Partner with external auditors on audits and SOX testing
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting and tax professionals
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate and consistent financial reporting
- Stay current on new accounting standards and assess impacts on financial reporting
- Reassess and enhance accounting processes and policies to align with evolving requirements
- Participate in special projects and enterprise initiatives as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA required
- 5+ years of experience in technical accounting, revenue recognition, reporting advisory, and SOX compliance
- Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and SOX requirements
- Hands‑on experience with sales & use tax preferred
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and manage competing priorities
- Proficiency with accounting systems, Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting tools
- Leaders with deep technical accounting expertise and strong compliance focus
