Overview
Senior Accounts Payable Specialist at Star Dental Partners is a high-growth dental services organization (DSO). This role involves day-to-day processing of invoices, statement reconciliations, conflict resolution, and vendor communications in a multi-site business environment. Experience in dental, healthcare, or retail settings is a plus.

Candidates should have experience resolving complex accounts payable issues, including coding invoices in a non-P.O. environment, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities- Perform day-to-day operations of the accounts payable function, including setting up vendors, collecting W-9s, and entering and coding invoices (approximately 300 weekly) across multiple locations, and conducting weekly check runs
- Assist AP manager with new acquisitions and post-integration activities
- Notify suppliers of new partnerships and serve as the point of contact for AP acquisitions
- Set up and train new offices on automated AP software
- Assist with moving new office accounts to Star’s Master accounts, corporate credit card, or third-party suppliers
- Reconcile vendor statements, research discrepancies, and work with vendors to correct accounts
- Develop and maintain relationships with practice office managers and vendors
- Ongoing review of accounting systems (invoice scanning/storage and ERP) to ensure timely and accurate processing
- Assist accounting team with month-end close
- Perform miscellaneous duties and special projects as needed
- Ability to commute to the Plano, TX office Monday - Thursday (Fridays remote) and maintain a full-time schedule of ~40 hours per week; extended hours may be required
- 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience required
- High School diploma or GED required
- Multi-site dental, healthcare, or retail experience preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and automated accounting systems
- Strong sense of urgency, clear communication, ability to build relationships, and provide excellent customer service
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities; ability to work independently
