Assistant Controller – Multi‑Entity Design‑Build & Manufacturing (Project‑Based Environment)
A rapidly growing, diversified design‑build enterprise is hiring an Assistant Controller to support accounting operations across multiple business lines, including professional services, construction, and manufacturing for large‑scale infrastructure projects.

- Cross‑functional collaboration with operations, project leadership, and manufacturing teams
- Prepare and analyze financials and forecasts:
BS/IS
, project progress summaries, monthly overhead,
weekly cash flow and rolling 13‑week cash forecasts - Review project accounting to ensure accurate project cost
, revenue recognition
, and expense classification - Lead budgeting and forecasting with operations; deliver monthly project‑level variance analysis
- Oversee weekly A/P payment reviews (pay‑when‑paid, charge‑outs, project coding, duplicates)
- Set up and maintain contract, vendor, subcontractor,
timekeeping
, and expense applications for a project‑based enterprise - Ensure policy compliance and robust internal controls; align A/P and Project Accounting processes across entities
- Build relationships with internal/external stakeholders;
develop and train accounting staff
- 5+ years in financial management in a directly related field and 5+ years at Assistant Controller level (or above) in a similarly scaled enterprise
- Bachelor’s in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting
; advanced degree and/or CPA preferred but not required - Construction industry experience required
; government contracting and/or manufacturing experience a plus - Major ERP experience required; familiarity with enterprise expense, timekeeping, and project systems preferred
- SQL and BI proficiency a plus
- Strength in accuracy, analytics, deadline discipline, and balancing big‑picture with details
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to influence and partner across teams
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.; no current or future sponsorship
- Builders who create structure across multi‑entity, project‑driven environments

- Partners who collaborate closely with operations and project teams to drive results
- Hands‑on, systems‑savvy accountants who scale processes without losing precision
