We are a dynamic and growing Managed Services Provider (MSP) specializing in delivering IT solutions and support to small and mid-sized businesses. As part of our continued growth, we’re looking for an organized and detail-oriented Assistant Bookkeeper to join our finance and operations team and help maintain accurate, timely financial records that support efficient operations and decision-making.
Job SummaryThe Assistant Bookkeeper will support daily accounting and bookkeeping functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions. This role is essential for maintaining the financial integrity of the company, particularly in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment typical of an MSP.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including:
- Assist with accounts payable/receivable and follow-up communications with clients and partners
- Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts
- Accurately track and code expenses in the RAMP credit card account
- Generate client invoices based on Iso Task service tickets and recurring billing for IT services, cloud infrastructure hosting and software subscriptions
- Collect payments via credit card, ach and checks and make deposits in our accounting system in a timely manner
- Monitor and follow-up on outstanding client payments
- Support payroll preparation by providing relevant documentation and verifying data
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Help maintain up-to-date and accurate general ledger entries
- Collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer and other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies
- Maintain financial documentation in compliance with company policies and industry regulations
- Provide general administrative support to the finance and operations department as needed
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience); bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2-4 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience;
Knowledge of MSP industry billing practices such as recurring services, time and materials, or project-based invoicing is a plus - Proficiency in Quick Books Desktop accounting software, MS/Office, intermediate Excel skills; familiarity with payroll, banking or other cloud-based financial applications is a bonus
