Senior Accountant

Tipton is a 40-year-old, DFW based, full-service real estate firm whose primary business is 3rd party fee management. Our managed portfolio has consisted of apartments, office buildings, retail, manufactured home communities and commercial office condominium associations. Tipton currently manages over 18,000 apartment units, a number of suburban office buildings and several commercial office condominium associations. We are looking for a Senior Accountant for our Plano office and will report to the Accounting Manager.

This is an in office position.

EXPERIENCE/

QUALIFICATIONS:

• College Degree - accounting, finance, or business majors
• 5 years' experience in a staff accounting position. Prior Senior Accounting experience a plus
• Real Estate experience required, Multi-Family a plus
• Advanced excel skills, including Vlookups and Pivot tables

JOB DUTIES:

• Assist in closing the accounting books for each property at the end of the month
• Review, research and post reclasses and accruals
• Review and process accounts payables for properties
• Perform monthly bank account reconciliations
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations
• Generate preliminary and monthly financials for multiple owners
• Interface with clients as needed relative to property accounting, reporting and distributions
• Provide clients with accounting & reporting requests
• Assist in new property onboarding and dispositions as needed
• Assist with PBCs for annual audits
• Assist with special projects
