Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Plano, Texas. This role involves managing critical accounting processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the company's financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical abilities and a meticulous approach to maintaining accuracy in all accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

- Process and record accounting transactions to maintain accurate financial records.

- Oversee the general ledger and ensure proper account management.

- Prepare and file sales and property tax returns in compliance with regulations.

- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

- Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to support forecasting efforts.

- Maintain and update a tracking database for revenue and expenditures across key accounts.

- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate audits and enhance financial reporting.

- Contribute to the development of improved processes for financial operations and compliance. Requirements - Extensive experience with month-end close procedures and financial reporting.

- Proficiency in managing and maintaining general ledger accounts.

- Strong knowledge of preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.

- Expertise in conducting bank reconciliations with high accuracy.

- Advanced analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to collaborate effectively with teams and external stakeholders.

- Solid understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.

- Familiarity with accounting software and tools to streamline processes.
