Accounting Manager

As the Accounting Manager, you will be instrumental in leading the daily financial operations, allowing ownership to confidently focus on strategic growth initiatives. You will collaborate closely with a part-time bookkeeper, an AR clerk, and a fractional CFO who provides monthly high-level oversight. • Lead full-cycle accounting for a ~$20M revenue business
• Create, review, and send customer invoices (~ 50/week)
• Manage AR, deposits, collections, and payment application
• Oversee AP, bill approvals, and payment timing
• Lead month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting
• Prepare financials for leadership and CFO review
• Manage sales tax filings, commissions, and compliance
• Improve accounting workflows, controls, and documentation
• Oversee and guide part-time accounting staff

• 5+ years of hands‑on accounting experience.
• Strong proficiency with Quick Books or similar ERP systems.
• Comfortable managing the full accounting cycle independently.
• Demonstrated willingness to personally execute tasks and be actively involved in daily operations.
• Experience in construction, manufacturing, distribution, or building materials is a plus.
• Prior experience collaborating with external accounting professionals or fractional CFO preferred.
