Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing key accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, cash management, and financial reporting. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end closings, supporting audits, and driving process improvements across the accounting function. The position requires strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Responsibilities- Prepare journal entries to book and maintain records of corporate credit card, expense reimbursement, expense accruals, prepaid, CIP capitalization, inventory, loan transactions
- Support month-end and year-end accounting close
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation and review of financial results
- Maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations for selected accounts
- Manage cash reconciliations and prepare cash forecast
- Prepare and review P&L reports with plant managers and accounting team
- Work across groups where needed to complete assigned tasks
- Identify areas for process improvement and champion these changes
- Assist in developing and implementing processes and controls to ensure data integrity and accurate financial reporting.
- Collaborate with team to implement accounting changes, process improvement projects and accounting software
- Support yearly audits
- Help with onboarding of new acquisitions, when applicable
- Other tasks as assigned by manager
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- 4+ years accounting experience at a senior level
- Quick Books and Netsuite experience preferred
- Organized, detail oriented, problem-solver
- Punctual and Self-driven
- Experience working with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Recycling or Construction industry background highly preferred
- The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- Employee is required to sit, stand, walk for extended periods.
- Travel will be required if needed to visit company locations across multiple states. Travel by car and airplane will be required.

- This position works in a typical office environment and will be required to be outdoor in the plant from time to time as needed. Safety glasses and closed toe shoes are always required when in the plant or warehouse.
