In this pivotal role, you will develop the creative vision for our exquisite watchmaking products, encompassing masterline collections, special orders, high jewelry watches, and métiers d'art pieces. You will ensure each creation aligns perfectly with Piaget's iconic aesthetic codes and strategic direction, while navigating technical and industrial constraints.

This role demands the ability to lead design projects from initial research to industrialization, collaborating seamlessly with our technical and marketing teams to bring our horological masterpieces to life.

Key Responsibilities Creative Design & Conception
  • Conceptualize and design innovative watch creations, developing concepts aligned with Piaget's brand strategy and aesthetic.
  • Produce detailed sketches, 2D/3D renderings, mock‑ups, and technical plans.
  • Ensure aesthetic consistency across product ranges, integrating ergonomic, legibility, and comfort considerations.
Product Development
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing and Development teams to ensure technical feasibility and uphold design quality.
  • Actively participate in prototyping, testing, and validation phases.
  • Optimize development processes while safeguarding creative vision and quality standards.
Trend Monitoring & Innovation
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in watchmaking, luxury design, and innovation.
  • Research and propose new materials, technologies, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proactively suggest innovative design concepts, even beyond initial briefs.
Project Management
  • Oversee multiple design projects concurrently, ensuring strict adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations for internal stakeholders and validation committees.
Team Collaboration & Culture
  • Integrate seamlessly into a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Share best practices, contribute to structuring creative processes, and actively enrich Piaget's distinctive design culture.
HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?
  • Education:

    Advanced degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or equivalent (specialization in watchmaking is a significant asset).
  • Experience:

    Minimum 5 years in watch design, ideally within a luxury watchmaking house, with a proven portfolio of commercialized collections.
  • Technical Design

    Skills:

    Mastery of traditional drawing techniques (gouache, sketching) and proficiency in 2D/3D software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino).
  • Watchmaking Expertise:
    Strong knowledge of watchmaking materials, manufacturing processes, finishes, and understanding of mechanical/industrial constraints.
  • Creative & Strategic Vision:
    Exceptional creativity, aesthetic sensibility, strategic thinking, and a strong drive for innovation.
  • Attention to Detail:
    Meticulous attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to quality.
  • Collaborative & Organized:
    Highly collaborative team player, organized, rigorous, and capable of managing multiple projects.
  • Languages & Culture:
    Fluent in French and professional working proficiency in English, with a deep sensitivity to luxury trends and culture.
