Security​/EMT Officer

Overview

Security/EMT Officer - Full-Time at Plainridge Park Casino. We’re changing entertainment and are looking for talent who enjoys hosting guests and supporting a fast-paced casino environment.

• Foster a fun, guest-focused environment and act as a gracious host to guests and co-workers
• Promote a positive influence in the community and participate in company-sponsored events
• Serve as on-duty EMT-qualified Security Officer to provide emergency medical care (first aid, AED, CPR) as necessary
• Act as liaison between EMS, fire, and law enforcement agencies responding to requests for assistance
• Provide comfort to ill or injured guests and administer first aid
• Provide security on assigned casino or landing area with high visibility, monitor safety hazards
• Patrol parking lots and provide security escorts for monetary transfers, fills, and credit
• Oversee customer boarding/disembarking, crowd control, traffic direction, s, camera checks, and prohibited items
• Assist customers (directions, cab arrangements, car trouble, etc.) and provide assistance to disabled patrons
• Assist with slot drops and observe/transport tokens to hard count room; assist with table drops and secure drop boxes
• Monitor entry/exit from hard count, soft count, and vault; maintain logs
• Serve as dispatcher and coordinate officer deployments; maintain activity log sheets
• Monitor monitors, write detailed incident reports, and testify in court when required
• Meet department uniform, appearance, and grooming requirements; adhere to attendance guidelines
• Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards; perform duties in a safe and responsible manner
• Fulfill any reasonable supervisory requests

• Must have a valid, unexpired EMT certification
• Outgoing, energetic, and enthusiastic attitude; enjoy hosting others
• Comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with guests
• Minimum 21 years of age
• High school diploma or GED; preferably six months related experience and/or training
• Physical mobility with ability to push/pull/carry and lift up to 25 lbs, plus the ability to bend, twist, kneel, and navigate varying work areas

Starting salary: $23.18 per hour (Shift differential of $1.50 per hour for grave shift). Benefits include wellness programs, day-one medical coverage, 401(k) matching, and annual performance bonus; eligibility varies by position.
