Lead Tech / Crew Chief
Service Master Dynamic Cleaning
Position OverviewMonitors and inspects tasks for restoration jobs to ensure completion, prepares documentation, explains processes to customers, and supervises technicians to maintain safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities- Knowledge of disaster restoration industry.
- Retrieve work orders, load job equipment, and arrive at the work site.
- Complete assigned jobs according to company processes and standards.
- Perform daily monitoring and required activities on active jobs for residential and/or commercial customers.
- Explain processes and next steps to customers using printed materials.
- Interface with adjusters to resolve issues and answer questions.
- Complete sketch and scope sheet for estimate, maintain drying records.
- Inspect jobs after completion, obtain customer signatures, and request payments when necessary.
- Resolve issues with customers and communicate job activities with key staff.
- Prepare and review documentation to include notes, photos, and signed documents, ensuring reimbursement from insurance companies.
- Train new technicians or key operational team members.
- Ensure safety standards are followed during all active jobs.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Role models customer service expectations with homeowners, adjusters, vendors, etc.
- Knowledge of disaster restoration or construction industry.
- Proficiency with mobile software to enter data.
- Experience with Xactimate preferred but not required.
- Ability to prioritize activities and meet deadlines.
- Experience in training and managing others.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to communicate customer issues and job activities with key staff.
- Preferred certifications: ASD, FSRT, OCT, WRT.
- Move up to 70 pounds by lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling.
- Stand and walk for extended periods, lift, squat, crawl, and crouch.
- Express or exchange ideas with others and receive/deliver detailed information.
- Use respirators when required.
- Be exposed to various indoor and outdoor conditions.
