Education and Experience:
- Must have high school diploma or GED
- Prefer some experience working with the IDD population
- Must have valid TX driver's license and be insurable
- Must demonstrate a concern for the rights, privileges, and dignity of individuals served
- Shift work primarily but not limited to Monday through Friday from approximately 5 am to 8 am and then 3 pm to 8 pm; or a variation of that split working the busiest hours in the group home to assist during meals, bath times and medication administration
- Provides daily programming, training, direct care, and supervision to individuals served
- Will provide direct care and supervision to individuals with intellectual disability, mental illness, or substance abuse
- Shift work is primarily but not limited to Monday through Friday from approximately 5 am to 8 am and then 3 pm to 8 pm
- Will implement treatment plans, crisis intervention, documentation, and supervising medications
- Will maintain individual care in a safe, therapeutic and professional manner
- Must be able to administer CPR
- Must be able to consistently and accurately perform the documentation tasks as assigned
- Will demonstrate flexibility in adapting to a situation in which frequent interruptions are inherent
- Must be able to transport in Center vehicles both out of town and in town
