Overview

The Chemical Plant QC Team is responsible for conducting processe and product inspections to ensure product quality and compliance with regulations. This includes product testing and measurement analysis and documentation, process inspecttions and improvements, quality assurance and management, and customer servie and collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Conducts routine product quality control and product or specification compliance testing
  • Compliance with company policies as set out in Standard Operatiing Procedures (SOPs)
  • Keeps work area clean and organized
  • Verifies and maintains testing instruments and ancillary test equipment
  • Manages expendable laboratory supplies
  • Assists, as and when needed, manager working in the laboratory
  • Dispose of expired chemicals and reference materials in containers designated by the supervisor (manager)
  • Perform test methods, record and report test data with rigorous conformance to procedures
  • Perform product pretreatment tests and measurements to meet company internal specifications
  • Identify and analyze problems with products and processes
  • Propose process improvements based on process inspections
  • Perform quality assurance and verification prior to product shipment
  • Record, analyze, and report product and process data
  • Maintain effective communication within the team and with other departments
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field
  • Experience with wet laboratory techniques (pipetting, solution preparation, dilutions)
  • Basin match skills to calculate dilution factors and solution concentrations quickly and accurately
  • Good computer skills required (Scientific instrument software, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Prefer operating IC, ICP-MS, UV-VIS instruments
  • Understanding of process and product inspection
  • knowledge and experience with chemical analysis and measurement techniques
  • Ability to analyze data and write reports
  • Working in an clean room environment
  • Shift work available
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers in a team environment
  • Understanding of quality regulatory requirements and standards
  • Strong commitment to safety and environment compliance
  • Physical Requirements:

    Excellent manual dexterity; ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in cleanroom spaces; ability to perform precise work using hands and eyes; ability to wear protective equipment when necessary; ability to work for extended period when necessary
