Position Title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting Direct Hire opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer with our client that is in Plainview, NY.
Job Description:
- The Senior Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing the procedures and equipment involved in the manufacturing process.
- Their duties include researching automation techniques, testing new systems for efficiency and planning factory layouts to optimize production.
- Lead or assist in the cost estimating process.
- 10 years of work experience as a manufacturing engineer or similar role needed
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and tool design
- Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques
- Commitment to health and safety standards and environmental regulations
- Well-versed in relevant software (e.g. CAD, MS Office)
- Project management skills
- Problem-solving ability
- Teamwork skills
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field(CNC Machining)
- Green belt certificate a plus
- Working knowledge with continuous improvement process.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes based on quality criteria, such as efficiency and speed.
- Provide cost estimations for new and existing projects.
- Create, test, and implement manufacturing process.
- Study production and machine requirements
- Develop and test effective automated and manual systems.
- Design and install equipment.
- Implement manufacturing processes that result in high-quality products.
- Organize and manage manufacturing workflows and resources.
- Optimize facility layouts, production lines, machine operations and network performance.
- Resolve issues and delays in production.
- Find ways to reduce costs and maximize quality.
- Train staff in new and existing processes
- Development and mentor of Junior engineers
- Collaborate with other engineers, contractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations.
- Upgrade systems and processes with new technology.
- Job Type: Direct Hire
- Salary Rate Range: $110-130K.
