Production Planner

Overview

Our client is seeking a dedicated Production Manufacturing Planner to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the seamless flow of work and materials, supporting their commitment to on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

$70,000 - $80,000

• Establish, coordinate, and expedite the flow of work and materials within the assigned business unit
• Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements
• Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components
• Monitor work-in-progress and address any production delays or issues proactively
• Maintain accurate production and inventory records
• Continuously analyze production processes to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
• Support capacity planning and resource allocation to meet production targets
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth operations
• Analyze, prepare, and issue production work orders and coordinate material requirements to ensure a controlled flow to the production department floor in support of customer deliveries
• Analyze and issue purchase requisitions for assigned material to support production according to MRP requirements, inventory, or Kanban
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies for assigned material
• Coordinate material and production scheduling in support for engineering development
• Provide production status to sales department
• Provide production lead time data to sales department and/or management
• Work closely with purchasing on material and supplier issues and delays
• Interface with program managers on new projects from design through production release
• Abide by all safety policies
• Work to minimize inventory and review capacity

• Proven experience in manufacturing planning, production scheduling, or supply chain coordination
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Proficiency with manufacturing software and ERP systems
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes is a plus

• Manufacturing experience (Hands-on a plus)
• Aerospace manufacturing experience
• ERP/ MRP experience

• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 5 years relevant experience.
