Citizens offers a variety of residential supports based upon the level of support and supervision required by each person, including Individualized Residential Alternatives (IRA’s) and Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF’s).

• Practice and promote the agency’s mission statement in every interaction.
• Provide ongoing support to people during the overnight and morning hours (self‑care routines such as toileting, feeding, showering, dressing and diapering).
• Ensure a safe and clean home by supporting people with household chores, including laundry.
• Follow all treatment plans and utilize adaptive and safety equipment to promote independence and safeguard health and safety.
• Report and document any events or activities that may jeopardize the health, safety and well‑being of residents.
• Support people in the morning with meal preparation, teaching diet adherence, portion control and cooking skills.
• Assist with medication administration in accordance with the AMAP policy and procedures.
• Accompany or transport residents to day programs or job locations using safe driving practices.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion and maintenance of AMAP (Approved Medication Administration Personnel) status.
• Ability to communicate and understand written and oral directives.
• Excellent team player with a positive attitude.

Qualified driver status is not required for overnight Direct Support Professionals working 11 pm–7 am. As a non‑qualified driver, you cannot use an agency vehicle or transport residents.
