Client OverviewOur client is a well‑established global leader in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of advanced technology components serving telecommunications, aerospace, and test and measurement markets worldwide. They are now looking for a Demand Planner.
Salary / Hourly Rate$35/hr - $40/hr
Position OverviewThe Demand Planner plays a key role in maintaining forecast integrity, supporting the monthly S&OP process, and collaborating closely with Sales, Supply Planning, and Finance. A smaller component of the role will include supporting Product Lifecycle (PLC) activities, including new product introductions and product discontinuations. This role is highly analytical and hands‑on, supporting demand planning for designated product lines within a large and complex SKU environment.
Responsibilities- Support monthly forecasting activities for assigned product families by updating forecasts based on sales and customer input.
- Track and communicate changes in demand patterns and forecast accuracy.
- Partner with account managers to validate customer forecasts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Review, consolidate, and analyze demand data from multiple sources.
- Maintain recurring forecast accuracy, bias, and performance reports.
- Identify and communicate risks or variances impacting inventory levels or service performance.
- Collaborate with Sales, Supply Planning, and Finance to support forecast alignment and reporting cadence.
- Participate in planning and alignment meetings for assigned product groups.
- Support Product Lifecycle (PLC) tracking by maintaining data accuracy for new product introductions and discontinuations.
- Monitor risks related to demand volatility, forecast changes, or customer behavior.
- Escalate issues that may impact on‑time delivery or inventory health.
- 3+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain coordination.
- Experience working in a high‑SKU environment; consumer goods or similar industries a plus.
- Strong analytical mindset with a hands‑on, flexible approach.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Experience using Tableau for reporting and data visualization.
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience working in an MRP environment.
- SAP experience or exposure; company is transitioning to SAP within the next year.
- APICS certification is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
