Full Charge Bookkeeper

Our company is seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage all aspects of day-to-day financial operations for our organization on Long Island. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closings.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice preparation, payment processing, and collections.
• Process payroll and related tax filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) and assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate financial records for audits.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations.
• Collaborate with external accountants or auditors as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of all financial data and records.
• Support management with ad hoc financial reports and analysis.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role.
• Proficiency in Quick Books or comparable accounting software.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
