Hiring Senior Project Manager – GIS

, leading a critical GIS upgrade program

The ideal candidate is an experienced project management professional with strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to coordinate complex IT initiatives across technical and business teams.

Hybrid – Candidates must be local to New Jersey and able to work onsite in South Plainfield, NJ, three days per week
.

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including IT (OT, Testing, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity), Line of Business (Electric Operations, Asset Management, Projects & Construction), and external partners
• Manage end-to-end project delivery, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, quality, and documentation objectives are achieved
• Coordinate and govern activities performed by the system integrator, including planning, deliverable reviews, issue resolution, and change control
• Ensure project execution aligns with client EPMO methodologies, standards, templates, and reporting requirements
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, RAID logs, status reports, and executive communications
• Facilitate working sessions, design reviews, and decision forums related to GIS data modeling, workflows, and integration impacts
• Partner with SMEs to validate modeling approaches, data standards, and implementation readiness
• Identify and manage project risks, dependencies, and issues
• Manage project communications across technical and business stakeholders
• Manage project budget, financial plans, forecasts, accruals, and tracking of actuals vs. plan

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Management, Business Administration, or related field
• + years of project management experience
• Basic understanding of OT systems (GIS, ADMS, SCADA, OMS)
• Strong grasp of project management fundamentals (scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, contracts)
• Experience leading cross-functional and technical teams
• Experience supporting system upgrades, migrations, or modernization initiatives
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong stakeholder management capabilities
• Risk issue management expertise
• Technical project coordination experience
• Vendor / system integrator management skills
• Quality assurance and governance experience
• Ability to manage multiple work streams in a fast-paced, complex environment
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft tools and PPM tools
• Excellent customer-facing, decision-making, and organizational skills
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
• PMP certification required
• Must be local to NJ and able to work onsite in South Plainfield, NJ
