DURATION OF THE POSITION: The position will run from July 1st through July 30th
LENGTH OF DAY: The position will be three (3) days per week (Tuesday-Thursday) from 8:15-12:15 (Students will be in session from 8:30-12:00)
POSITION: The para educator will help support instruction in the areas of reading, math as well as provide targeted and differentiation instruction for social/emotional/behavioral needs of special education students, responsibilities may include providing 1:1 support.
REPORTS TO: Director of Pupil Services AND Supervisor of Special Education AND ESY Coordinator AND School Principal AND Classroom Teacher or Designee
QUALIFICATIONS: Connecticut certification for para educator:
Associates/Bachelor’s Degree or High School Diploma with Para Pro Exam
SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: The para educator’s current hourly rate (4 hours/day-3 days/week-5 weeks)
