The North Plainfield School District, a culturally diverse school district in Somerset County serving 3,700 students Pre-K through grade 12, seeks a dynamic, enthusiastic and innovative professional for the anticipated position of a leave replacement Grade 6 Science & Grade 6 Bilingual Science teacher (leave replacement).

Qualifications/Responsibilities:

* Grade 6 Science certification or K-6 Generalist with experience in science

* Bilingual (Spanish)

* Use hands-on activities, labs, and technology to enhance instruction

* Assess student understanding and adjust instruction as needed

* Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment

* Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues

* Participate in team meetings, school events, and ongoing professional development

* Strong communication and classroom management skills

* Ability to maintain a positive learning environment

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills

* Bilingual (English/Spanish) required

Salary: $68,050 (minimum) to $77,050 (maximum) commensurate with experience
