Warehouse Associate

We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Full Time Warehouse Associate to join our team at our Indianapolis, IN (Plainfield IN area) Distribution HUB.

Matthews International is a world wide leader in casket manufacturing, providing the highest quality wood, metal and cremation caskets, as well as urns, memorial jewelry and other products to our funeral home customers. This position will be responsible for unloading and loading new caskets onto and off our vehicles. Additionally, you will be tasked with preparations for deliveries and providing valuable support in diverse warehouse activities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

* You will be loading and unloading caskets and other memorialization products from our various production facilities.

* Preparing products for delivery and unloading products to be stored in our warehouse.

* Scanning products, pulling correct orders and maintaining a clean work environment.

* Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

* High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.

* 1+ years of previous warehouse experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Ability to work 8 hour shifts being on your feet, walking, pushing, pulling products.

* Reliable transportation to get to and from work every day.

* Ability to work overtime when needed.

* Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, hear and see.

* Regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
