Job Summary /Objective of JobThe Heavy-Duty Remanufacturing Assembler is responsible for assembling, disassembling, and reconditioning heavy-duty truck parts and components. This role requires a keen eye for detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow technical instructions and safety protocols to ensure high-quality remanufactured products.
Summary of Essential Job Functions- Assembly and Disassembly:
Assemble and disassemble heavy-duty truck parts and components according to specifications and blueprints. - Inspection and Testing:
Inspect parts for wear and damage, perform tests to ensure functionality, and identify parts that need repair or replacement. - Reconditioning:
Clean, repair, and recondition parts using appropriate tools and techniques to restore them to operational condition. - Quality Control:
Conduct quality checks on assembled and reconditioned parts to ensure they meet industry standards and company specifications. - Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used, repairs made, and tests conducted. - Tool Maintenance:
Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good working condition and report any issues to the supervisor. - Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in mechanical assembly or a similar role, preferably in the heavy-duty truck parts industry.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good physical stamina and dexterity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
