Hendricks Live! Inc. is looking to hire a Concessions Supervisor in Plainfield, Indiana. We are seeking someone who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and deliver 5-star customer service. You will supervise our concessions team and oversee bars for rental events. This is a unique opportunity to join a prominent regional arts organization and contribute to the patron-facing functions that will ensure its success.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring all aspects of concession services are carried out efficiently, meeting or exceeding guest expectations.
  • Coordinating with team members, vendors, and other departments to deliver high-quality five-star service.
  • Maintaining inventory of all equipment and products. Assist with ordering products and scheduling equipment maintenance and upkeep. Keeping detailed records of all vendor contacts and vendor logins.
  • Maintaining a high level of professional and friendly customer service.
  • Resolving guest complaints and issues promptly and ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Overseeing the cleanliness and maintenance of facilities and equipment to adhere to health and safety regulations.
  • Meeting and selling bar services for rental clients.
  • Maintaining and scheduling all staff for concessions and rental events.
  • Conducting quality checks and implementing improvements to concessions and bar services.
  • Preparing detailed reports on concessions operations and guest feedback for management review.
  • Responsible for working with the performer on selling merchandise. Assisting with setting up the group and scheduling a seller, if needed.
  • Creating contracts and invoices for rental clients.
  • Ensuring timely payment from rental clients.
  • Assist in hiring and training new staff members and providing guidance to existing staff on hospitality standards and procedures. Ensuring all shifts are covered appropriately for each event.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of mixology for traditional and creative cocktails. Understanding unique flavor pairings.
  • Ability to enforce policies regarding the consumption of alcohol and the ability to cut someone off from alcohol consumption, if required.
  • Physical ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.
  • Oversee POS systems for accurate order processing and credit card handling.
  • Collaborate with management on budgeting and operational improvements.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory position in food & beverage, hospitality, sales, or related field.
  • Experience using point of sale systems. Toast Point of Sale preferred.
  • Food & Beverage knowledge, concessions/menu item knowledge, type of services provided, equipment, and logistical knowledge.
  • Effective time management and organization.
  • Ability to work swiftly in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all people, including board members, artists, performers, co-workers, vendors, and attendees.
  • Ability to respond to high-stress circumstances with courtesy and care.
  • Ability to accept constructive coaching.
  • Ability to stay calm in stressful environments.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Work well in a team environment and team collaboration.
  • Visual ability to read package labels for expiration dates and preparation/storage instructions.
  • Hearing ability to receive orders from guests.
  • Exemplify 5-star customer service in all work efforts.
Licensure:

A valid bar‑tending license for the state of Indiana is required for this position.

  • Paid training provided to employees who need to obtain this license.
  • Candidates who already have a valid license are preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
Working Conditions:
  • Schedule will change from week to week.
  • Work is part‑time with varied hours, including nights and weekends, and holidays.
  • Work is performed in a theater/stage environment, with some work performed in other locations, including outdoor venues and event spaces.
