Medical Receptionist

Description

Join a leading healthcare provider as a Medical Receptionist and become the welcoming face of our busy medical practice located in Plainfield, IN. This role is essential for delivering excellent patient experiences and supporting daily administrative operations.

Hours:

Monday: 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM

Tuesday: 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM

Wednesday: 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Thursday: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Friday: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Responsibilities for the position:

+  Greet patients and visitors, ensuring a friendly and professional first impression

+ Schedule and confirm patient appointments

+ Answer multi-line phones, direct calls, and deliver accurate messages

+ Register new patients and update existing patient records

+ Verify insurance information and collect necessary documentation

+ Process payments and maintain accurate financial records

+ Liaise professionally with medical staff, patients, and insurance companies

+ Maintain a clean and organized front desk and waiting area

Requirements

+ High school diploma or equivalent; additional medical office training is a plus

+ Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service environment preferred

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills

+ Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability

+ Proficiency with scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite

+ Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
