Position: Administrative Specialist I

Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for an Administrative Specialist I with our large power and utilities client in Plainfield, IN. This is a 12-month contract with a potential for extension. This is a hybrid position – 3 days a week in office.

Pay: $19.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA‑compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.

Description

This Administrative Specialist will support the nearly 50 personnel in the MW Transmission project management group.

Responsibilities
  • Purchase requisition creation, CAPS processing, ordering office supplies, creating facilities tickets, maintain various logs such as RFQ tracking and change order logs.
  • Organizes PM meetings, assists in safety meetings and supports managers and directors with PowerPoint and Vizio documents.
  • Supports other groups as needed such as Work Management, Siting Permitting & Engagement.
  • At this level, the worker has developed knowledge and skills through formal training or considerable work experience.
  • Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of oversight and serves in a non‑exempt capacity.
  • Uses business software applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel) to prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, minutes, etc.
  • Receives, screens and directs incoming calls, visitors, mail, and e‑mail.
  • Maintains files and calendars.
  • Responsible for arranging business travel, coordinating meeting arrangements, and tracking expenses.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required.
  • 1–5 years relevant experience arranging travel, coordinating meetings, ordering office supplies, etc.
  • Thorough experience with MS Office Suite (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is required.
