OpportunityLead and supervise a unit of Employment and Training Workers who assess eligibility for public assistance and provide employment services to clients of local social service agencies. Your work will influence how our programs support participants to become self‑sufficient.
Responsibilities- Plan, organize, assign, supervise and review work of staff focused on eligibility and support services.
- Assist in developing and implementing procedures for employment and training, and depending on assignment, public assistance programs.
- Manage the performance of personnel: train, motivate, evaluate, conduct performance reviews, handle discipline, and contribute to a high‑performing team environment.
- Meet individually and in groups with staff to interpret regulations, policies and address eligibility and employment challenges.
- Review cases for accuracy, compliance and timeliness, ensuring quality client services.
- Collaborate with supervisors, management, and staff to set goals, coordinate activities and establish guidelines.
- Partner with other divisions, agencies and community groups; represent the department at meetings and conferences.
- Conduct special studies or research projects as assigned.
- Interview complainants, make cause determinations for program participants in non‑compliance, and prepare reports and written correspondence. жили

- Focus on meaningful client outcomes and align with state accountability and continuous quality improvement policies.
- Use data to analyze trends and guide impactful decisions.
- Develop, implement and monitor targeted improvement plans that enhance worker effectiveness and participant engagement. - Two (2) years caminos full‑time experience equivalent to the County classes of Eligibility Supervisor or Social Worker Supervisor I, OR one (1) year full‑time experience equivalent to Employment and Training Worker III, OR three (3) years full‑time experience equivalent to Employment and Training Worker II, OR three (3) years professional casework experience in publicly funded vocational guidance or placement services with at least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
- Completion of 15 semester (22.5 quarter) college units in career planning, vocational guidance, personality development, occupational testing, or counseling preparation.
- Valid California or Nevada driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
