Add’l Salary Info: EDCOE pays $600/month toward medical (prorated for less than full time); no cost dental, life insurance, EAP, long term disability; vision $4.87/month;

We are hiring in the following geographic regions:
El Dorado Hills to Camino. The El Dorado County Office of Education accepts applications for Instructional Assistant
- Autism - Special Services Program, on a year round basis, with no Final date to receive applications. This posting will be used to create an eligibility list. This list will be used for current and future openings. Purpose Statement:
Under supervision of Director of Special Services or designee, provide one-on-one or small-group instruction to students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD); present instructional material; complete routine clerical duties. This position is distinguished by knowledge of and training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), TEACCH, and other methods of instruction commonly used with students who have ASD.
Please note that all applicants must pass a multiple-choice exam and, if hired, must successfully complete a 50-pound lift assessment by one of our approved providers.
- Experience:
Experience working with children in an educational or other structured setting, preferably with students with disabilities. Successful completion of the EDCOE Instructional Assistant-Autism exam. - Education:
High school diploma or the equivalent, and two years of college (48 units), or A.A. degree (or higher), or pass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction. Training in Applied Behavioral Analysis Techniques, TEACCH Techniques, and behavior management strategies. All applicants are required to pass testing in order to be placed on an eligibility list.
