Job Summary
  • Under the supervision of the Director of Special Services or designee, provide one‑on‑one or small‑group instruction to students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
  • Present instructional material and complete routine clerical duties.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), TEACCH, and other instructional methods commonly used with students who have ASD.
  • All applicants must pass a multiple‑choice exam and, if hired, successfully complete a 50‑pound lift assessment by an approved provider.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Experience:

    Work with children in an educational or other structured setting, preferably with students with disabilities. Successful completion of the EDCOE Instructional Assistant‑Autism exam.

  • Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent plus two years of college (48 units), an A.A. degree (or higher), or pass a local assessmentمیل of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction.
  • Training in Applied Behavioral Analysis Techniques, TEACCH Techniques, and behavior management strategies.
  • All applicants dəfə must pass testing to be placed on an eligibility list.
