- Additional Salary Info: EDCOE pays $600/month toward medical (pro‑rated for part‑time); no cost dental, life insurance, EAP, long‑term disability; vision $4.87/month;
CalPERS retirement. - Length of Work Year: 5 days per week, 10 months per year, hours may vary

Job Summary:
- Assist in supervising classroom, playground, and community activities of students with disabilities and Juvenile Hall students.
- Present instructional material under teacher’s direction to individual students or small groups.
- Relieve teacher of routine clerical duties.

Qualifications:
- Experience:
Successful interaction with children in a classroom or other structured setting, preferably with students with disabilities. - Education:
High school diploma or equivalent plus two years of college (48 units), or an A.A. degree (or higher), or pass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting with instruction. All applicants must pass testing to be placed on an eligibility list.
