Lead Health Unit Coordinator

Description

Under the general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, the Unit Coordinator (UC) ensures that patients, their families and guests have an unparalleled experience at Mission Hospital while serving as the face of our Ministry and proactively setting the stage for the patient experience, by professionally and efficiently providing and/or coordinating patient/visitor/guest experience. The UC effectively communicates via a variety of modalities with patients, visitors, and facility staff and plays an integral role in communication across the continuum of care.

The UC is responsible for serving as the primary resource person in identifying and facilitating problem resolution for our patients and guests while utilizing independent decision making to manage complex situations while ensuring positive outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

• 3 years of eperience in delivering high level of service in guest relations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree
• Coursework/Training:
  Training in customer service, service recovery, conflict resolution.
• Coursework/Training:
  Medical terminology course.
• Experience working in healthcare delivery environment.
• Discovery experience.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
