Job Description
Fairway Ford is seeking an experienced Automotive Main Line Technician with strong diagnostic skills to join our service department. This role is ideal for a technician who thrives on solving complex problems, working efficiently, and delivering high-quality repairs that meet Ford standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform accurate diagnostics and repairs on Ford and other vehicles
- Handle all engine service work including engines
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and provide recommendations for additional service
- Communicate findings clearly to Service Advisors and document work performed on repair orders
- Stay current with Ford factory training, technical bulletins, and diagnostic equipment
- Follow dealership and manufacturer standards for quality and safety
- Assist in mentoring and supporting junior technicians when needed
- 2+ years of automotive technician experience (Ford dealership experience strongly preferred)
- Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- OEM certifications preferred;
Ford certifications are a strong plus - Ability to operate modern diagnostic tools and repair software
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
