CGP: Staff Accountant

We are currently seeking a talented and detail-oriented candidate with strong background in General Ledger Accounting to join our client's team. As a GL Accountant, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). You will contribute to the preparation of financial statements, including the balance sheet, statement of retained earnings, income statement, and statement of cash flows.

Qualifications:

• BA in Accounting/Finance or related field
• 2-3 years of relevant experience, with strong General Ledger accounting experience.
• Manufacturing experience is a PLUS.
• Foundational knowledge of GAAP.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and adaptability in changing situations.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, utilizing technical experience, judgment, and precedents.
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel knowledge.
• Experience with database management tools is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly journal entries, reconcile balance sheet subledgers, and assist in monthly financial statement generation.
• Analytically review specific general ledger accounts for accuracy and valuation during the monthly close process.
• Classify, examine, and analyze accounting records, generating related financial reports and statements.
• Assist in the data package for annual internal audits in the Finance Accounting and Control Function.
• Perform other assigned responsibilities as needed.
