Trailer Rebuild Mechanic

Overview

Prime Inc. is seeking an Industrial Automation Technician to work 3rd shift (Wednesday‑Saturday 6am‑6pm). The role focuses on maintenance, fabrication, and shop tool work in a refrigerated trucking environment.

• Fabricate and repair trailer body parts.
• Operate overhead crane, forklift, and shop tools to facilitate repairs.
• Disassemble and reassemble trailer parts as needed.
• Read and understand repair orders to optimize shop space.
• Perform detailed inspections of equipment before return.
• Verify completion of all maintenance tasks to maintain fleet standards.
• Provide excellent customer service to identify problems and expedite repairs.
• Maintain shop tools and clean the work area.

• High school diploma or GED; related experience or training acceptable.
• Mechanical and welding experience is a plus.
• Strong work history, positive attitude, and flexible schedule.
• Ability to acquire a rolling toolbox and own tools after training.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record and reliable transportation.

Constant standing, handling, and reaching; lift 100 lbs, push 50 lbs, pull 100 lbs. Steel‑toed footwear and safety glasses required.

Indoor and outdoor with varying weather, chemical odors. Compliance with OSHA respiratory program required.
