Travel OR RN Educator – Labor & Delivery (13‑Week Travel Nurse Contract) — Pittsfield, MA

• Position:
  Travel OR RN Educator – Labor & Delivery (Travel Nurse / Perinatal Nurse Educator)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (March 30, 2026 – June 29, 2026)
• Setting:
  Family Birthplace Unit – Labor & Delivery, Operating Room (C‑section circulation)
• Shift: 12‑hour days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48; specify preference)
• Weekend/Holiday:
  Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• On‑Call:
  None
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,700 - $2,840
• Orientation: 8‑hour orientation provided at start

• 3+ years current RN Educator experience in perinatal nursing or labor & delivery with demonstrated expertise in OR circulation for C‑sections (required)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher (required)
• Active Massachusetts RN license (must be uploaded with application)
• Certifications (must be active and uploaded):
• American Heart Association BLS
• American Heart Association ACLS
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred (electronic medical record experience)
• Must have a reliable personal vehicle for assignment
• COVID‑19 vaccination (dose date on or after 10/3/23) or approved exemption (required)
• Permanent address must be included with application. Travelers within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible.
• All requested time off (no more than 3 days) must be submitted at application
• Skills checklists for Educator and Labor & Delivery (current within 1 year) and one supervisory reference (within past 2 years) required
• Important: Candidates with only straight Labor & Delivery RN experience (without L&D OR circulate/C‑section focus) will not be considered for this role.

• Provide hands‑on education, mentorship, and clinical coaching for Operating Room circulation during C‑sections within the Labor & Delivery environment
• Develop, implement, and deliver training on L&D OR workflows, C‑section safety protocols, and evidence‑based perinatal best practices
• Perform competency validation, skills assessments, and educator‑led simulations for perinatal and OR circulation tasks
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (OB/GYN, anesthesia, neonatal teams) to optimize perioperative safety, maternal‑newborn outcomes, and staff performance
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, infection control standards, and maternal‑newborn safety initiatives
• Document educator activities, training outcomes, and metrics to support quality improvement and staff competency tracking
