Role Summary:
The Medical Surgical Registered Nurse provides comprehensive, patient-centered care to adult patients in an acute care setting. Responsibilities include performing detailed assessments, monitoring and interpreting telemetry rhythms, administering medications and IV therapies, coordinating interdisciplinary care, and ensuring accurate documentation. The RN must be comfortable managing a 1:6 patient ratio and floating to other Medical Surgical units as required.

Floating:
Required to all Med Surg units
Orientation: 8 hours (non-billable)

Required Education:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. ADN or BSN required.

Required Experience:
Minimum 2 years of current Medical Surgical experience required.
Telemetry experience required.
Basic Dysrhythmia competency strongly required.
Must be willing to float across Med Surg units.

Required Licenses:
Active Massachusetts RN license must be in hand at submission.

Required Certifications:
Active AHA BLS certification- (Required)
Active AHA ACLS certification- (Required)
NIHSS certification - (Required)
