• The Resource Nurse may be assigned on NARH 2 North or to the NARH Emergency Room. The Resource Nurse functions as a health care team member responsible for the safe delivery of patient-centered, goal-oriented care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The Resource Nurse directs and guides staff and patient teaching and activities of RNs and ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.

• Experience:
  
  Three years as a registered nurse with experience on med/surg and in the emergency room or critical care.
• Education:
  
  ADN required, BSN preferred.
• License and
  
  Certifications:
  
  RN – currently licensed in Massachusetts; CPR; ACLS within six months of hire; PALS within six months of hire; NRP within six months of hire; TNCC within six months of hire.
• Other Requirements:
  Thorough knowledge of nursing principles and procedures; demonstrates continuing education; assures compliance with unit-specific scope of practice; must speak English in an understandable manner; must possess normal sight/hearing or use prosthetics that enable these senses to function adequately.
