  • Apply Lean tools and methodologies—including value stream mapping, standard work, visual management, poka‑yoke, and 6S—to drive measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Champion, implement, and sustain 6S standards on the shop floor, promoting organization, consistency, and accountability.
  • Plan and facilitate Kaizen events and cross‑functional improvement initiatives, engaging production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain stakeholders.

  • Provide hands‑on technical and process support for metal fabrication operations, including laser cutting, forming, welding, and material handling.
  • Support engineering activities by assisting with Solid Works models, drawings, and bills of materials.
  • Assist with and troubleshoot Trumpf CNC programs for laser cutting and press brake operations.
  • Track, analyze, and report key performance improvements related to cycle time, throughput, scrap, rework, and labor efficiency.
  • Lead, mentor, and support a small team of engineers, technicians, or continuous improvement specialists, fostering skill development and continuous learning.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to align improvement initiatives with operational goals and business priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, confidentiality, and data protection policies, and adhere to all company procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of manufacturing and continuous improvement objectives.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing engineering experience, with demonstrated impact in metal fabrication and production environments.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with CNC laser operations, welding, metal forming, and assembly processes.
  • Working knowledge of overhead cranes, forklifts, and material handling systems.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross‑functionally with Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Finance teams.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools, including Kaizen, visual management, day‑by‑hour tracking, Kanban replenishment systems, and cell/value stream layout.
  • Demonstrated expertise in fixture, work holding, tool, and gauge design, as well as DFMEA methodologies.
  • Experience with capital equipment selection, justification, and implementation.
  • Proficiency with Solid Works and CAD software preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem‑solving, and analytical skills, with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal and teamwork capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
