Registered Respiratory Therapist
" position that will provide support to our client's healthcare systems in Pittsfield, Massachusetts
. This is a contract assignment with a high likelihood of extension and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist

Schedule: 3x12 hrs. (36 hrs. / week)

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Pay Range: $2200 – $2274 / week DOE

Note: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT only – CRTs will NOT be considered)

• Travelers must live more than 50 miles from Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
• Permanent address must be included in profile
• Traveler must have their own vehicle

Our facility is seeking to hire a licensed respiratory therapist to add to our ever-expanding staff of competent healthcare professionals. Duties will include setting up and operating devices such as therapeutic gas administration apparatus and mechanical ventilators, providing emergency care, such as external cardiac massage, artificial respiration, or assistance with cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and maintaining charts that contain patient identification and therapy information.

• Monitor patient response to respiratory therapy, including ABGs, vital signs, blood chemistry, and lung function
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to manage patient care
• Set up, operate, and monitor ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, and aerosol therapy equipment
• Follow prescribed treatment parameters and protocols
• Provide emergency respiratory care, including CPR assistance and artificial respiration
• Inspect, clean, test, and maintain respiratory therapy equipment
• Document patient information and therapy details accurately
• Assess patient condition by reviewing prescriptions, ABGs, and pulmonary function tests
• Communicate test results and patient status to physicians
• Educate patients on respiratory treatments and procedures

• Minimum 2 years of current RRT experience (required)
• Meditech Expanse experience (strongly preferred)
• ACLS and PALS (preferred)

• Massachusetts RRT license
• Active RRT certification through NBRC
• Active BLS (AHA)
