Financial Manager, Corporate Finance
LHH is working with a corporation in the Greater Pittsfield area that is hiring a Corporate Controller. This position oversees the financial operations of a multi-entity manufacturing group, providing strategic leadership and direction for the Accounting and Purchasing group. The Corporate Controller ensures strong financial controls, accurate consolidated reporting, and compliance across all business units. Serving as a key business partner to executive leadership, this role aligns financial operations with organizational objectives, delivers insightful analysis to support decision-making, and promotes efficient utilization of resources.
In addition, the Corporate Controller leads the organization’s technology strategy and drives continuous process improvement to enhance system integration, data integrity, and operational efficiency across all entities.
Responsibilities- Manage all accounting and financial operations across multiple manufacturing entities, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and inventory accounting.
- Oversee the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws, audit requirements, and internal control standards.
- Coordinate external audits and manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor intercompany transactions, eliminations, and transfer pricing consistency.
- Develop and maintain accurate standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation across plants and product lines.
- Partner with operations to analyze production costs, material usage, and efficiency metrics.
- Drive initiatives to reduce waste, optimize working capital, and improve overall cost structure.
- Support capital expenditure (Cap Ex) planning and return‑on‑investment (ROI) analysis for new equipment and process improvements.
- Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for all entities.
- Provide actionable financial insights to management to support pricing, profitability, and growth strategies.
- Develop dashboards and KPIs to track financial and operational performance across plants.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven success in multi-company financial management and consolidation.
- Hands‑on experience leading ERP implementation or major upgrades within manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory control, and production financial analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of supply chain finance, material requirements planning (MRP), and shop floor integration.
