Location: Corporate Headquarters - Pittsfield, MA

Work Schedule: Hybrid (Monday-Wednesday onsite | Thursday-Friday remote)

Travel: Less than 5%

Job Summary

The Corporate Controller is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial operations of a multi-entity manufacturing organization
. This position provides strategic direction and hands-on leadership across accounting, purchasing, and financial systems, ensuring accurate consolidated reporting, strong internal controls, and full regulatory compliance.

Serving as a key business partner to the CFO and executive leadership team, the Corporate Controller plays a critical role in aligning financial strategy with operational goals. This individual delivers insightful financial analysis to support decision-making, drive profitability, and improve operational efficiency across all business units.

In addition to core financial leadership responsibilities, the Corporate Controller leads enterprise technology and ERP initiatives
, driving continuous process improvement, system integration, and data integrity across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Lead all accounting and financial operations across multiple manufacturing entities, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and inventory accounting.
  • Oversee the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, audit requirements, and applicable local, state, and federal tax regulations.
  • Coordinate external audits and manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Monitor and manage intercompany transactions, eliminations, and transfer pricing consistency.
ERP Systems & Technology Leadership
  • Lead the implementation, integration, and optimization of ERP systems (such as EPMS, Odoo, Syteline, INFOR) across multiple manufacturing entities.
  • Partner with IT, operations, and production teams to design efficient financial workflows related to inventory, costing, procurement, and reporting.
  • Standardize ERP processes to align with corporate accounting policies and manufacturing operations.
  • Train and support finance, operations, and production teams on ERP functionality, reporting, and data integrity best practices.
Cost Accounting & Operational Analysis
  • Develop and maintain standard costing systems, variance analysis, and inventory valuation across plants and product lines.
  • Collaborate closely with operations to analyze production costs, labor efficiency, material usage, and waste reduction opportunities.
  • Drive initiatives to optimize working capital, improve margins, and enhance overall cost structure.
  • Support capital expenditure (Cap Ex) planning, financial modeling, and ROI analysis for new equipment and process improvements.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Strategic Planning
  • Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes across all business units.
  • Provide actionable financial insights to support pricing strategy, profitability analysis, and long-term growth planning.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and KPIs to monitor financial and operational performance across manufacturing facilities.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting and purchasing teams across multiple locations.
  • Foster collaboration between finance, operations, supply chain, and executive leadership.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and financial excellence throughout the organization.
Qualifications Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred.
Experience
  • 7-10+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience managing multi-entity financial operations and consolidated reporting.
  • Hands-on experience leading ERP system implementations or major upgrades within manufacturing organizations.
