Barrington Stage Company, an award-winning professional theatre company located in the heart of the Berkshires, is seeking an Audio Engineer for our St. Germain Stage to join our team in Pittsfield, MA.

JOB OVERVIEW

The St. Germain Audio Engineer ensures high-quality sound for all performances in the St. Germain Stage venue. This role combines live mixing with the technical maintenance of the venue’s sound and communication systems.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Program and operate digital mixing consoles for plays and small-scale musicians.
  • Execute pre-show audio/comms checks and post-show shutdown procedures.
  • Install and maintain venue-specific communications, paging, and monitoring systems.
  • Aid in the construction of show-specific items like speaker stands or set masking.
  • Maintain the organization of the venue’s audio shop and mixing area.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating audio inventories for the venue.
  • Other duties as assigned by Production Management.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • [Proven experience in theatrical live sound mixing and system troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with digital mixing consoles, Qlab, and Dante.
  • Must be comfortable working with students and volunteers.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work comfortably at heights.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are preferred
