JOB OVERVIEWThe St. Germain Audio Engineer ensures high-quality sound for all performances in the St. Germain Stage venue. This role combines live mixing with the technical maintenance of the venue’s sound and communication systems.
REQUIREMENTS- Program and operate digital mixing consoles for plays and small-scale musicians.
- Execute pre-show audio/comms checks and post-show shutdown procedures.
- Install and maintain venue-specific communications, paging, and monitoring systems.
- Aid in the construction of show-specific items like speaker stands or set masking.
- Maintain the organization of the venue’s audio shop and mixing area.
- Assist in maintaining and updating audio inventories for the venue.
- Other duties as assigned by Production Management.
- [Proven experience in theatrical live sound mixing and system troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with digital mixing consoles, Qlab, and Dante.
- Must be comfortable working with students and volunteers.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work comfortably at heights.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are preferred
