ABOUT BARRINGTON STAGE COMPANYBarrington Stage Company, an award-winning professional theatre company located in the heart of the Berkshires, is seeking two Stage Crew members to join our team in Pittsfield, MA.

JOB OVERVIEWThe Stage Crew aids in the physical load-in and strike of productions and executes the movement of scenery and props during performances. This role requires a high degree of focus, teamwork, and technical reliability.
REQUIREMENTS- Execute all scenic and prop shifts as assigned during technical rehearsals and performances.
- Perform pre-show presets of props and scenery; ensure the stage and backstage areas are swept, mopped, and clear of debris.
- Assist with the physical load-in and strike of scenery, props, electrics, and sound elements as required.
- Notify the Deck Chief of any broken scenery or props and assist in repairs as directed.
- Assist the Deck Chief in noting changes to presets or run lists to keep paperwork current.
- Assist with daily post-show cleanup and strike procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of scenic construction techniques, materials, and basic theatrical rigging.
- Experience with counterweight fly systems and general backstage operations.
- Ability to stay alert and focused during long periods of inactivity and perform under high-pressure cues.
- Must be comfortable working with students and volunteers.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, work in low-light conditions, and work comfortably at heights.
- Reliable transportation and/or a valid driver’s license is preferred.
