Compensation: Codman Academy Charter Public School follows a compensation scale based on years of direct experience. 1 year experience starts at $60,000 and 16 years of experience starting at $110,444.
Position OverviewCodman Academy Charter Public School is seeking a highly organized, strategic, and detail-oriented Director of Recruitment, Enrollment & Student Records to oversee student recruitment, lottery management, enrollment compliance, and registrar functions.
This position plays a critical leadership role in ensuring Codman maintains full enrollment, executes a transparent and compliant lottery process, and maintains accurate student records that support academic programming and DESE reporting requirements.
The Director works closely with school leadership, advancement, operations, and data teams to ensure enrollment sustainability and compliance with Massachusetts charter school regulations.
Key Responsibilities Recruitment & Community EngagementDevelop and implement an annual student recruitment strategy aligned with enrollment targets.
Coordinate and attend recruitment events including school fairs, information sessions, and community outreach initiatives.
Partner with Advancement and Communications to update recruitment materials and manage public-facing messaging.
Lead Accepted Student Preview Nights and information sessions.
Build and maintain relationships with feeder schools, community organizations, and partner institutions.
Provide regular enrollment updates to school leadership.
Lottery & Admissions ComplianceManage School Mint and all application intake processes.
Audit sibling status, residency status, and eliminate duplicate applications.
Prepare and execute the public lottery in accordance with Codman’s Enrollment Policy.
Secure a non-affiliated lottery administrator.
Generate and maintain accurate waitlists.
Communicate lottery results and manage offer notifications.
Ensure compliance with DESE and Massachusetts charter school regulations.
Enrollment & Intake ManagementOversee onboarding process for all newly admitted students.
Collect and verify enrollment documentation (proof of residency, immunizations, IEPs, transcripts, etc.).
Coordinate intake meetings with Family Liaison, Social Worker and relevant staff.
Monitor mid-year enrollment vacancies and manage waitlist movement.
Collaborate with the Chief of Staff to determine seat allocations and grade-level needs.
Maintain complete and accurate student records in compliance with FERPA.
Oversee daily attendance systems and ensure data integrity.
Manage student scheduling in collaboration with school leadership.
Support development and maintenance of master schedule.
Coordinate Power School data management and student imports.
Process student withdrawals, transfers, and transcript requests.
Support DESE reporting in partnership with the Data Manager.
Administrative & ComplianceCollaborate with the Data Manager to submit:
October Reporting
Prepare documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
Develop enrollment dashboards and tracking systems for leadership review.
Attend required administrative meetings and professional development sessions.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications RequiredBachelor’s Degree.
Experience in enrollment, registrar services, admissions, or school operations.
Strong organizational and data management skills.
Experience working with student information systems (Power School, School Mint preferred).
Excellent communication skills with families and staff.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Current authorization to work in the United States.
PreferredExperience in a charter or urban school setting.
Familiarity with Massachusetts DESE enrollment regulations.
Academic fluency in Spanish, Haitian Creole, Cape Verdean Creole, or Portuguese.
Experience supporting multilingual learners and students with IEPs.
