Job Summary

Senior Full Stack Developer to lead the technical design and hands-on development of cross-functional, multi-platform distributed application systems within an enterprise environment. This role will focus heavily on backend development using Java and Spring Boot, with front-end contributions in Angular.

This is a 12-month contract assignment based in Pittsburgh, PA or Lake Mary, FL, with an onsite expectation of 3+ days per week. Working hours are 8:00 AM 5:00 PM ET.

Key Responsibilities

Full Stack Development:
Lead and contribute to the design, development, debugging, and implementation of distributed enterprise applications using Java (11+), Spring Boot, and Angular (Angular

JS and modern Angular versions).

Backend Engineering & Vulnerability Remediation:
Focus primarily on backend development, addressing security vulnerabilities, improving code quality, and ensuring secure coding standards are maintained.

Technical Design & Architecture:
Analyze and document requirements for data, workflow, and system interfaces, translating business needs into scalable technical solutions.

Secure Coding & Secret Management:
Implement secure development practices, manage application secrets within vault technologies, and ensure compliance with enterprise security standards.

Testing & Quality Assurance:
Develop and execute unit and performance tests using tools such as JUnit and JMeter to ensure application reliability and performance benchmarks are achieved.

CI/CD & Dev Ops Integration:
Contribute to automated build, deployment, and testing pipelines using Git and enterprise CI/CD frameworks.

Agile Delivery:
Participate in sprint ceremonies, manage tasks within Jira, and collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders in an Agile environment.

Application Modernization:
Support the rewrite of legacy Angular

JS applications into modern Angular frameworks, maintaining flexibility across front-end and back-end technologies.

Work closely with technology and project management stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions aligned to business objectives.

Qualifications

10+ years of enterprise-level software development experience

Strong expertise in Core Java (11+), currently operating in Java 21 environments

Experience with Spring Boot and distributed application development

Experience with Angular (legacy Angular

JS and modern Angular versions)

Secure coding experience (minimum 2+ recent years) and vulnerability remediation knowledge

Experience with secret management and vault technologies

Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile methodologies

Experience with unit and performance testing tools (JUnit, JMeter)

Experience working in large enterprise environments

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Preferred Experience

Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude or Windsurf

Experience modernizing legacy applications

Familiarity with enterprise security standards within financial institutions
